Brief stop in Tokyo

After about 15 hours, we landed in Tokyo. Now, you would think it would be smooth sailing after all the other stuff happened. Nope. In a rush to get to our connector flight and obtain Chanel’s boarding pass, we leave the $600.00 camera on the plane, under the seat. I didn’t realize it until we were in line at the security Checkpoint and Chanel asked “did you grab the camera?” You could imagine how my face looked when I realized I didn’t have it. So, I get out of line,  head back toward the staff member who is pointing everyone in the right direction and inform her that I left my camera on the plane. She responded with “I’m sorry, you can’t go back to the plane after you leave”

I felt the anxiety kick in. Luckily, another staff member was willing to go back to the plane and grab it for me. In the meantime, I signal to Chanel to meet me at the boarding area and get her boarding pass. I only had about 5 minutes to spare. When I seen the lady with the camera, I almost hugged her. The line in security was short, so I was able to quickly get through. I sprinted to gate A17 so fast. I made it to the gate in perfect timing.

She was at the desk looking like something was wrong. The receptionist took a while to pull up her info. Eventually, she printed off her boarding pass. But, just our luck, the seats weren’t together. I could tell Chanel was utterly disappointed. I did my best to get her to look on that bright side. She wasn’t having it. As soon as I get comfortable a few rows ahead of her, I hear this voice saying “babe! She said she’ll switch with you!”. Power of persuasion. Up next, the arrival.
